Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work French jeune Femme À Sa Toilette by Henri Gervex. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 17,379.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Gervex achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French rolla in May 2016 with an auction result of GBP 1,385,000.00 (€ 1,807,278.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit French jeune Femme À Sa Toilette von Henri Gervex zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 17.379,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri Gervex erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit French rolla im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.385.000,00 (€ 1.807.278,85).
