Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Still life with pumpkin by Henri D'Anty was auctioned at Christies in New York in April 2007, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 300.00 (€ 219.62). Admittedly, works by Henri D'Anty have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still life with red and pink flowers in a blue vase in August 2012 with an auction result of USD 2,000.00 (€ 1,590.08).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Still life with pumpkin von Henri D'Anty im April 2007 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 300,00 (€ 219,62) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henri D'Anty auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Still life with red and pink flowers in a blue vase im August 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.000,00 (€ 1.590,08).
