Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hendrik Nicolaas Werkman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vrouweneiland XXII (Martinet Hot Printing 42-80) in December 2006 with an auction result of EUR 45,600.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Turkenkalender 1942 von Hendrik Nicolaas Werkman kam im Mai 2007 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 3.840,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 28 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hendrik Nicolaas Werkman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vrouweneiland XXII (Martinet Hot Printing 42-80) im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 45.600,00.
