Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2015 Phillips in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work Napkin, February by Hendrik Kerstens. The price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 11,296.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hendrik Kerstens - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Napkin, February, 2009, which sold at auction in April 2017 for USD 35,000.00 (€ 32,124.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2015 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Napkin, February von Hendrik Kerstens zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 11.296,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Hendrik Kerstens mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Napkin, February, 2009 beobachtet, die im April 2017 für USD 35.000,00 (€ 32.124,83) versteigert wurde.
