Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2001 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS, which included the work A Watermill By A Lock, The Spine Of The Westerkerk, Amsterdam Beyond by Hendrik Gerrit ten Cate. The price achieved of NLG 1,762.50 (€ 847.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as NLG 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hendrik Gerrit ten Cate achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A wooded landscape with figures by a pond in July 2017 with an auction result of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 22,316.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2001 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Watermill By A Lock, The Spine Of The Westerkerk, Amsterdam Beyond von Hendrik Gerrit ten Cate zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von NLG 1.762,50 (€ 847,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit NLG 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hendrik Gerrit ten Cate erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A wooded landscape with figures by a pond im Juli 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 22.316,93).
