Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work River Landscape With Trees by Hendrik Gerrit ten Cate for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,410.48). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master and British Works on Paper Online at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hendrik Gerrit ten Cate achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A wooded landscape with figures by a pond in July 2017 with an auction result of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 22,316.93).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit River Landscape With Trees von Hendrik Gerrit ten Cate für GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.410,48) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master and British Works on Paper Online bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hendrik Gerrit ten Cate erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A wooded landscape with figures by a pond im Juli 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 22.316,93).
