Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2008 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & British Pictures & Old Master Drawings, which included the work A cavalry skirmish by Hendrik de Meijer. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,363.15) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hendrik de Meijer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Boats And Ships On The River Maas, The Grote Kerk And Dordrecht In The Distance in April 2008 with an auction result of GBP 29,300.00 (€ 37,353.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & British Pictures & Old Master Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A cavalry skirmish von Hendrik de Meijer zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.363,15) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hendrik de Meijer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Boats And Ships On The River Maas, The Grote Kerk And Dordrecht In The Distance im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 29.300,00 (€ 37.353,36).
