The auction ended at the price of EUR 15,000.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hendrik de Meijer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Boats And Ships On The River Maas, The Grote Kerk And Dordrecht In The Distance, which sold at auction in April 2008 for GBP 29,300.00 (€ 37,353.36).

Die Arbeit A ferry with a horse-drawn carriage crossing a river, sailing vessels and a village beyond von Hendrik de Meijer kam im Mai 2009 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 15.000,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00.
