Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Hendrik van Balen I could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in May this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Masters auction, the work Moses striking the Rock changed hands for USD 34,020.00 (€ 31,931.67) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 50,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hendrik van Balen I have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Preaching of Saint John the Baptist in July 2018 with an auction result of GBP 200,000.00 (€ 224,243.98).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hendrik van Balen I konnte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Masters wechselte die Arbeit Moses striking the Rock für USD 34.020,00 (€ 31.931,67) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 50.000,00 – 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hendrik van Balen I auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Preaching of Saint John the Baptist im Juli 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 200.000,00 (€ 224.243,98).
