Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work A Collection of twenty-two engravings by Heinrich Aldegrever. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,147.50 (€ 1,368.73) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Heinrich Aldegrever achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lazarus begging for Crumbs from Dives's Table (Luke 16:19-31) in January 2000 with an auction result of USD 156,500.00 (€ 160,397.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Collection of twenty-two engravings von Heinrich Aldegrever zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.147,50 (€ 1.368,73) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Heinrich Aldegrever erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lazarus begging for Crumbs from Dives's Table (Luke 16:19-31) im Januar 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 156.500,00 (€ 160.397,66).
