Upper estimate price exceeded by 89 %.
This artwork by He Xiangyu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2020. In the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Sorry sold for HKD 151,200.00 (€ 16,746.63) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by He Xiangyu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sorry in April this year with an auction result of HKD 144,000.00 (€ 147,052.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 89 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von He Xiangyu erzielte im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Sorry für HKD 151.200,00 (€ 16.746,63) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von He Xiangyu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sorry im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 144.000,00 (€ 147.052,17).
