This artwork by He Xiangyu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2021. In the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Seventeen Lemons 17 sold for HKD 478,800.00 (€ 51,263.04) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 260,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by He Xiangyu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sorry, which sold at auction in April this year for HKD 144,000.00 (€ 147,052.17).

Dieses Kunstwerk von He Xiangyu erzielte im April 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Seventeen Lemons 17 für HKD 478.800,00 (€ 51.263,04) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 260.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von He Xiangyu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sorry beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für HKD 144.000,00 (€ 147.052,17) versteigert wurde.
