This artwork by He Xiangning achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2014. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Bamboo And Chrysanthemums sold for HKD 162,500.00 (€ 16,729.85) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 90,000.00. Admittedly, works by He Xiangning have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Monkey in June 2015 with an auction result of HKD 875,000.00 (€ 101,196.88).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 81 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von He Xiangning erzielte im Oktober 2014 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Bamboo And Chrysanthemums für HKD 162.500,00 (€ 16.729,85) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 90.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von He Xiangning auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Monkey im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 875.000,00 (€ 101.196,88).
