Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Seven-character Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script by He Weipu was sold in the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. The price achieved of HKD 18,750.00 (€ 2,018.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by He Weipu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work LANDSCAPES AFTER YUAN AND MING MASTERS in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 27,930.36).

Die Arbeit Seven-character Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script von He Weipu wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 18.750,00 (€ 2.018,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von He Weipu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit LANDSCAPES AFTER YUAN AND MING MASTERS im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 27.930,36).
