Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Memories Of The Red Cliff (Double-Sided Triptych) by He Huaishou was sold in the Modern Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2020. It achieved a price of HKD 239,400.00 (€ 26,515.50), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by He Huaishou - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work River Of Illusion, which sold at auction in April 2017 for HKD 500,000.00 (€ 59,017.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Memories Of The Red Cliff (Double-Sided Triptych) von He Huaishou wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Modern Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 239.400,00 (€ 26.515,50) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Für andere Arbeiten von He Huaishou mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit River Of Illusion beobachtet, die im April 2017 für HKD 500.000,00 (€ 59.017,90) versteigert wurde.
