This artwork by He Baili achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in March last year. In the Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Idyllic Scene of Hong Kong - No.1215 sold for HKD 23,940.00 (€ 2,755.92) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by He Baili achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dreaming of the River Valley in November 2021 with an auction result of HKD 2,750,000.00 (€ 305,772.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von He Baili erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online wurde die Arbeit Idyllic Scene of Hong Kong - No.1215 für HKD 23.940,00 (€ 2.755,92) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von He Baili erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dreaming of the River Valley im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.750.000,00 (€ 305.772,13).
