The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,560.00 (€ 2,306.09), 56% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Haynes King achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Love Letter in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 16,800.00 (€ 24,948.53).

Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Haynes King erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Love Letter im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.800,00 (€ 24.948,53).
