This artwork by Harry Watson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2011. In the Victorian & British Impressionist Pictures Including Drawings & Watercolours auction, the work The white dress sold for GBP 4,625.00 (€ 5,233.17) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,500.00. Admittedly, works by Harry Watson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Crossing the Brook in July this year with an auction result of GBP 21,420.00 (€ 24,990.65).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Harry Watson erzielte im März 2011 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Victorian & British Impressionist Pictures Including Drawings & Watercolours wurde die Arbeit The white dress für GBP 4.625,00 (€ 5.233,17) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Harry Watson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Crossing the Brook im Juli diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.420,00 (€ 24.990,65).
