This artwork by Harry Watson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in May 2005. In the BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES auction, the work The sack sold for GBP 336.00 (€ 496.04) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 150.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harry Watson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Crossing the Brook in July this year with an auction result of GBP 21,420.00 (€ 24,990.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Harry Watson erzielte im Mai 2005 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES wurde die Arbeit The sack für GBP 336,00 (€ 496,04) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 150,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Harry Watson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Crossing the Brook im Juli diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.420,00 (€ 24.990,65).
