Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%

This artwork by Harry Watson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2005. In the British and Victorian Paintings auction, the work Roses sold for GBP 1,620.00 (€ 2,379.98) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harry Watson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Crossing the Brook in July this year with an auction result of GBP 21,420.00 (€ 24,990.65).

Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen

Dieses Kunstwerk von Harry Watson erzielte im November 2005 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion British and Victorian Paintings wurde die Arbeit Roses für GBP 1.620,00 (€ 2.379,98) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Harry Watson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Crossing the Brook im Juli diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.420,00 (€ 24.990,65).
