Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Moorland and Clouds by Harry Watson was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2002. The price achieved of GBP 470.00 (€ 768.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harry Watson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Crossing the Brook in July this year with an auction result of GBP 21,420.00 (€ 24,990.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Moorland and Clouds von Harry Watson kam im März 2002 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 470,00 (€ 768,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Harry Watson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Crossing the Brook im Juli diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.420,00 (€ 24.990,65).
