Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The painter and his model by Harry Maas was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2002. It changed hands for a price of EUR 587.50 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 450.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harry Maas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Relaxing on the sofa in June 2004 with an auction result of EUR 7,767.50.

Die Arbeit The painter and his model von Harry Maas kam im Januar 2002 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 587,50 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 450,00 – 600,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Harry Maas erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Relaxing on the sofa im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 7.767,50.
