Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Reclining nude by Harry Maas was sold in the PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction at Christies in Amsterdam in July 2003. The price achieved of EUR 478.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harry Maas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Relaxing on the sofa in June 2004 with an auction result of EUR 7,767.50.

Die Arbeit Reclining nude von Harry Maas wurde im Juli 2003 in der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 478,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Harry Maas erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Relaxing on the sofa im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 7.767,50.
