Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hop on! by Harry Maas was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2004. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,346.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Harry Maas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Relaxing on the sofa, which sold at auction in June 2004 for EUR 7,767.50.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Hop on! von Harry Maas kam im Juni 2004 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.346,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Harry Maas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Relaxing on the sofa beobachtet, die im Juni 2004 für EUR 7.767,50 versteigert wurde.
