Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work P.S. O'Hegarty by Harry Kernoff was sold in the Irish Art, including Property from the Collection of Sir MichaelSmurfit auction at Sothebys in London in September 2020. It achieved a price of GBP 1,386.00 (€ 1,528.29), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harry Kernoff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Death in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 96,500.00 (€ 122,752.22).

Die Arbeit P.S. O'Hegarty von Harry Kernoff wurde im September 2020 in der Auktion Irish Art, including Property from the Collection of Sir MichaelSmurfit bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.386,00 (€ 1.528,29) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 16%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Harry Kernoff erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Death im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 96.500,00 (€ 122.752,22).
