Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Leaving The Bar (Watercolour); Dublin Tram; Room Companions; A Quiet Smoke; A Few Words; Farm Askeaton, Co. Limerick; W. B. Yeats; James Connolly & The Citzen Army; James Clarence Mangan by Harry Kernoff was sold in the Irish Art auction at Sothebys in London in September 2016. The result of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,474.37) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harry Kernoff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Death in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 96,500.00 (€ 122,752.22).
