Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Harry John Johnson could be acquired at Christies in London in January 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Sunset on the Atlantic changed hands for GBP 750.00 (€ 844.25) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harry John Johnson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work British Sounion in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 22,100.00 (€ 30,945.72).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Harry John Johnson konnte im Januar 2009 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wechselte die Arbeit Sunset on the Atlantic für GBP 750,00 (€ 844,25) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Harry John Johnson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit British Sounion im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.100,00 (€ 30.945,72).
