Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2008 Christies in London held the auction The Arthur Ackermann and Peter Johnson Collection: A Connoisseur's Choice, which included the work The battery at Monaco by Harry John Johnson. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 875.00 (€ 1,113.04). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harry John Johnson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work British Sounion in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 22,100.00 (€ 30,945.72).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Arthur Ackermann and Peter Johnson Collection: A Connoisseur's Choice durch, in der auch die Arbeit The battery at Monaco von Harry John Johnson zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 875,00 (€ 1.113,04) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Harry John Johnson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit British Sounion im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.100,00 (€ 30.945,72).
