Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Harry John Johnson could be acquired at Christies in London in October 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British & Continental Watercolours and Drawings auction, the work On the road to Bonja, Gulf of Smyrna changed hands for GBP 375.00 (€ 538.52) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harry John Johnson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work British Sounion in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 22,100.00 (€ 30,945.72).
