Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2009 Sothebys in London held the auction Sporting and Marine Art, which included the work The Sheriff In A Stable by Harry Hall. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,289.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harry Hall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fisherman with jockey up attended by a groom on a race course in May 2005 with an auction result of GBP 42,000.00 (€ 62,005.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2009 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Sporting and Marine Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Sheriff In A Stable von Harry Hall zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.289,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Harry Hall erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fisherman with jockey up attended by a groom on a race course im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 42.000,00 (€ 62.005,18).
