Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Harry Curieux Adamson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in February this year. In the Coast to Coast | Live OnlineAmerican Art, including The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer auction, the work Quail Covey Rising from Grasses sold for USD 19,062.50 (€ 17,980.10) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Harry Curieux Adamson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Autumn Prelude - Pintails, which sold at auction in April last year for USD 44,475.00 (€ 42,208.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Harry Curieux Adamson erzielte im Februar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Coast to Coast | Live OnlineAmerican Art, including The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer wurde die Arbeit Quail Covey Rising from Grasses für USD 19.062,50 (€ 17.980,10) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Harry Curieux Adamson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Autumn Prelude - Pintails beobachtet, die im April letzten Jahres für USD 44.475,00 (€ 42.208,41) versteigert wurde.
