In July 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art Online, which included the work Canadian Grandeur - Stone Sheep by Harry Curieux Adamson. The result of USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,390.84) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Harry Curieux Adamson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Autumn Prelude - Pintails in April last year with an auction result of USD 44,475.00 (€ 42,208.41).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Juli 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Canadian Grandeur - Stone Sheep von Harry Curieux Adamson zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 5.390,84) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Harry Curieux Adamson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Autumn Prelude - Pintails im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 44.475,00 (€ 42.208,41).
