Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Harry Curieux Adamson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year. In the Western Art auction, the work Coming In - Pintails in the San Joaquin Valley sold for USD 38,175.00 (€ 36,229.48) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Harry Curieux Adamson; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Autumn Prelude - Pintails sold at auction in April last year with the realized price of USD 44,475.00 (€ 42,208.41).
