The work Chicago by Harry Callahan was auctioned at Phillips in New York in October this year. It achieved a price of USD 12,700.00 (€ 12,017.41), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 41%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harry Callahan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Trees And Mist (Chicago, Trees In Snow) in June 2010 with an auction result of USD 254,500.00 (€ 207,062.08).

Die Arbeit Chicago von Harry Callahan kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 12.700,00 (€ 12.017,41) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 41%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Harry Callahan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Trees And Mist (Chicago, Trees In Snow) im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 254.500,00 (€ 207.062,08).
