Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work Cady's Store at Gardener Center, Massachusetts by Walter Harrison Cady for USD 3,346.00 (€ 2,722.10). This price was achieved in the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Walter Harrison Cady - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Newstand, which sold at auction in April 2014 for USD 9,375.00 (€ 6,759.19).
