The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of AUD 50,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of AUD 51,660.00 (€ 31,323.73) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Portrait of a Young Woman with Two Spaniels is the most expensive artwork by Harold Septimus Power that we have observed at auctions so far.
