Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Harold Riley achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in November 2021. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Three Children with Dog sold for GBP 16,500.00 (€ 19,372.55) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Harold Riley; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Ritz, Salford sold at auction in July 2011 with the realized price of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 34,429.49).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Harold Riley erzielte im November 2021 bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Three Children with Dog für GBP 16.500,00 (€ 19.372,55) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Harold Riley; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Ritz, Salford im Juli 2011 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 34.429,49).
