This artwork by Harold Riley achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2017. In the Modern British & Irish Art auction, the work The Dog Fight sold for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,986.57) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Harold Riley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Ritz, Salford, which sold at auction in July 2011 for GBP 30,000.00 (€ 34,429.49).

In der Auktion Modern British & Irish Art wurde die Arbeit The Dog Fight für GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.986,57) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Harold Riley mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Ritz, Salford beobachtet, die im Juli 2011 für GBP 30.000,00 (€ 34.429,49) versteigert wurde.
