Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Miss Gladys on the balcony by Harold Knight was sold in the British Impressionism Day Sale auction at Christies in London in November 2017. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,378.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harold Knight achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Florence in July 2016 with an auction result of GBP 458,500.00 (€ 544,797.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Miss Gladys on the balcony von Harold Knight wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion British Impressionism Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 28.378,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Harold Knight erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of Florence im Juli 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 458.500,00 (€ 544.797,19).
