In the Prints & Photographs auction, the work Child Running, alternatively titled Bob Running sold for USD 960.00 (€ 839.01) - well above the upper estimate of USD 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harold E. Edgerton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Harold Edgerton: Ten Dye Transfer Photographs' in October 2019 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 53,787.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 92 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Harold E. Edgerton erzielte im Januar 2024 bei Bonhams in Skinner Boston einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Prints & Photographs wurde die Arbeit Child Running, alternatively titled Bob Running für USD 960,00 (€ 839,01) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Harold E. Edgerton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Harold Edgerton: Ten Dye Transfer Photographs' im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 53.787,54).
