In July 2004 Christies in New York held the auction The House Sale, which included the work Sculpture by Harold Cousins. The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,780.00 (€ 3,972.74), 37% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harold Cousins achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ohne Titel in June this year with an auction result of EUR 60,480.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 37 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2004 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The House Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sculpture von Harold Cousins zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 4.780,00 (€ 3.972,74) und damit 37% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Harold Cousins erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ohne Titel im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 60.480,00.
