Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2005 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction 19TH AND 20TH CENTURY SCULPTURE, which included the work Don Quichotte by Harold Cousins. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 3,120.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harold Cousins achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ohne Titel in June this year with an auction result of EUR 60,480.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2005 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion 19TH AND 20TH CENTURY SCULPTURE durch, in der auch die Arbeit Don Quichotte von Harold Cousins zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 3.120,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Harold Cousins erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ohne Titel im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 60.480,00.
