Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2014 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Post-War British Art, which included the work Pandora'S Box (Diptych) by Harold Cohen. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 7,072.18). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Harold Cohen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Abstract Figure, which sold at auction in July this year for GBP 12,800.00 (€ 14,933.72).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2014 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Post-War British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pandora'S Box (Diptych) von Harold Cohen zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 5.625,00 (€ 7.072,18) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Harold Cohen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Abstract Figure beobachtet, die im Juli diesen Jahres für GBP 12.800,00 (€ 14.933,72) versteigert wurde.
