Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Rainbow by Harm Kamerlingh Onnes was sold in the Nineteen to Now - 'Art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries' auction at Christies in Amsterdam in March 2009. The price achieved of EUR 2,500.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Harm Kamerlingh Onnes have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wachten voor het loket in December 2008 with an auction result of EUR 25,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Rainbow von Harm Kamerlingh Onnes wurde im März 2009 in der Auktion Nineteen to Now - 'Art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries' bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.500,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Harm Kamerlingh Onnes auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wachten voor het loket im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 25.000,00.
