Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lange Voorhout, The Hague by Harm Kamerlingh Onnes was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in March 2009. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 2,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harm Kamerlingh Onnes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wachten voor het loket in December 2008 with an auction result of EUR 25,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lange Voorhout, The Hague von Harm Kamerlingh Onnes kam im März 2009 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 2.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Harm Kamerlingh Onnes erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wachten voor het loket im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 25.000,00.
