This price was achieved in the auction Chinese Contemporary Ink Paintings II - New Chinese Ink Paintings at POLY in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 600,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hao Liang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poison Buddha 2 in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 16,975,000.00 (€ 1,859,839.48).
