Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2017 Sothebys in Zurich held the auction Swiss Art / Swiss Made, which included the work Südliche Landschaft Mit Personen Und Maultieren by Hans Potthof. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of CHF 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of CHF 4,375.00 (€ 3,999.65) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hans Potthof - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Strandszene Beach Scenery, which sold at auction in May 2011 for CHF 18,750.00 (€ 15,049.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2017 führte Sothebys in Zürich die Auktion Swiss Art / Swiss Made durch, in der auch die Arbeit Südliche Landschaft Mit Personen Und Maultieren von Hans Potthof zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von CHF 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von CHF 4.375,00 (€ 3.999,65) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Hans Potthof mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Strandszene Beach Scenery beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für CHF 18.750,00 (€ 15.049,82) versteigert wurde.
