A top price for Hans Potthof - as previously expected

The work Strandszene Beach Scenery by Hans Potthof was sold in the Schweizer Kunst / Swiss Art auction at Sothebys in Zurich in May 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of CHF 18,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of CHF 18,750.00 (€ 15,049.82) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Strandszene Beach Scenery is the most expensive artwork by Hans Potthof that we have observed at auctions so far.

Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage

Die Arbeit Strandszene Beach Scenery von Hans Potthof wurde im Mai 2011 in der Auktion Schweizer Kunst / Swiss Art bei Sothebys in Zürich versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von CHF 18.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von CHF 18.750,00 (€ 15.049,82) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Strandszene Beach Scenery das teuerste Kunstwerk von Hans Potthof, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
