The work The Mystic Marriage Of St. Catherine by Hans Rottenhammer was sold in the Old Master Day Sale including Old Master Paintings, Drawings and British Works on Paper auction at Sothebys in London in July 2020. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,154.24), 43% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hans Rottenhammer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le festin des dieux : Le mariage de Bacchus et d'Ariane in June 2012 with an auction result of EUR 1,241,000.00.

Die Arbeit The Mystic Marriage Of St. Catherine von Hans Rottenhammer wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion Old Master Day Sale including Old Master Paintings, Drawings and British Works on Paper bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.154,24) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hans Rottenhammer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le festin des dieux : Le mariage de Bacchus et d'Ariane im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.241.000,00.
