Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master Drawings, which included the work Rest On The Flight Into Egypt by Hans Rottenhammer. The price achieved of USD 11,875.00 (€ 10,367.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hans Rottenhammer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le festin des dieux : Le mariage de Bacchus et d'Ariane in June 2012 with an auction result of EUR 1,241,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rest On The Flight Into Egypt von Hans Rottenhammer zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 10.367,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hans Rottenhammer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le festin des dieux : Le mariage de Bacchus et d'Ariane im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.241.000,00.
